Abstract of the Disclosure: A process for the beneficiation of potash ores containing potassium and sodium chloride and other evaporite type salts and about 3-15% of water insoluble substances is disclosed. The process comprises the step of subjecting the potash ore to a dry magnetic separation to remove a substantial portion of the water insoluble substances from the potash ore prior to separation of the potassium chloride salt from the sodium chloride and other salt components of the ore.
