T 1155 A B S T R A C T MAGNETIC SEPARATION PROCESS In a process for separating relatively magnetic mineral particles Pm having magnetic susceptibilities X , with Xm > O from relatively non-magnetic particles P , having magnetic susceptibilities Xn, with Xm > Xn, all said particles are suspended in a liquid stream, which is supplied to a separating container. Said container is provided with an inlet and an outlet and forms a passageway for said stream therebetween. Furthermore an arrangement of magnetizable matrix elements provided in said passageway is magnetized. Said supplying and magnetizing are conditioned in such a way, that depositions of particles are obtained predominantly upon the downstream side of said elements. From all said particles magnetic particles Pm are captured to an effective amount upon said downstream side, thereby resulting in a high grade deposition. D11/T1155FF
