A magnetizable sound deadening wall covering, which upon magnetization simultaneously reduces wall vibration and reflected nuisance noise normally transmitted through air, when magnetically adhered to a wall, comprising: a magnetizable viscoelastic constrained layer; a constraining layer attached to the magnetizable viscoelastic layer; and an acoustic absorption or sound attenuating layer attached to the constraining layer.

L'invention concerne un revêtement mural d'atténuation sonore magnétisable. Lorsqu'il est appliqué sur une paroi puis magnétisé, ce revêtement réduit simultanément les vibrations de la paroi et la nuisance acoustique réfléchie, normalement transmise par l'air. Ce revêtement mural contient : une couche contrainte viscoélastique magnétisable ; une couche de contrainte fixée sur la couche viscoélastique magnétisable ; et une couche d'absorption acoustique ou d'atténuation sonore fixée sur la couche de contrainte.
