A magnetic support plate for cladded steel and steel-backed polymer stamping/blocking and embossing graphic arts dies is provided in which a non- ferrous, rectangular support member (14, 114, 214) made up of a plate (26, 126, 226) has a die mounting surface (24) for complementally receiving the graphic arts die assembly (12). The plate (26, 126, 226) has a series of elongated recesses or cavities (28, 128, 228) in one face thereof, with each of the cavities being provided with two rectangular magnets that are located in spaced relationship one from another. The two magnets within each cavity are disposed in positions with the magnetic north and south poles thereof opposite one another. A ferro-magnetic component (36) in the form of a steel plate or strip is provided within each cavity in bridging, contacting relationship to both of the magnets within each cavity. The magnets serve to magnetically attract and hold the cladded steel or steel-backed polymer stamping/blocking and embossing dies against the surface (24) of plate (26, 126, 226). The ferro-magnetic component (36) significantly enhances the magnetic attractive force of the magnets.

L'invention concerne une plaque support magnétique destinée à des poinçons d'arts graphiques d'emboutissage et d'estampage/tirage réalisés en acier plaqué et en polymères en acier régulé, un élément support rectangulaire non-ferreux (14, 114, 214) composé d'une plaque (26, 126, 226) comportant une surface de montage de poinçon (24) destinée à recevoir de manière complémentaire l'ensemble de poinçon d'arts graphiques (12). La plaque (26, 126, 226) présente une série de creux ou cavités (28, 128, 228) sur une face, chaque cavité étant pourvue de deux aimants rectangulaires disposés de manière espacée l'un par rapport à l'autre. Les deux aimants de chaque cavité sont disposés de manière que les pôles magnétiques nord et sud soient opposés. Un composant ferromagnétique (36) sous forme de plaque ou bande d'acier est disposé dans chaque cavité en relation de pontage et de contact avec les deux aimants de chaque cavité. Les aimants servent à attirer et à maintenir magnétiquement les poinçons d'emboutissage et d'estampage/tirage réalisés en acier plaqué et en polymères en acier régulé contre la surface (24) de la plaque (26, 126, 226). Le composant ferromagnétique (36) augmente considérablement la force d'attraction magnétique des aimants.
