ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a changeable sign in which the message is displayed on the face of the sign in numeric or alphanumeric characters in segmented format. The board is composed of ferromagnetic material, such as steel, and the message is changed by overlaying selected segments of the characters with flexible permanent magnet strips which have outer surfaces of a color corresponding to that of the face of the board.
