ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According to the present invention, based on the fact that the magnetoresistance characteristic of the magnetoresistance effect element is changed depending on the angle between the anisotropic direction, namely, the axis of easy magnetization of the magnetoresistance element and the direction of the signal magnetic field applied thereto, it is discovered that particularly when an angle ? between the anisotropic direction of the magnetoresistance element and the direction of the signal magnetic field applied thereto is selected in the ranges of 50° ? ? ? 85°, the magnetoresistance characteristic having an excellent linearity can be provided. A magneto- resistance effect type magnetic transducer head is constructed by using the magnetoresistance effect element of the above construction.
