A B S T R A C T In a magnetic valve for refrigeration plant there is a magnetically conductive plug connected to a yoke as well as a plunger-type armature carrying at least at one end a closing member co-operating with a valve seat. Between the end face of the plug and the one end face of the armature there is provided a layer of a refrigerant-proof plastics material separate from the closing member. The plug is secured to the yoke with the interpositioning of an elastic intermediate layer. In addition, a layer likewise indepen- dent of the closing member may be provided between the other end face of the armature and an abutment face. This results in a long life and little noise when switching on and off.
