A magnetically affixed attachment for spectacles, including a preferably non- magnetic eyewire having front and rear regions. An auxiliary lens is held in the front region, and the rear region contains a plurality of micromagnets. Each micromagnet, preferably of the rare earth type, is located on the inner per'iphery of the rear region, and is thereby protected from physical abuse. The inner periphery of said eyewire has the saure shape, but preferably is slightly larger than the outer periphery of the spectacle rim to which it is intended to attach, hence allowïng maximum contact between each micromagnet and the spectacle rim, which rim is fabricated of, or includes, magnetic material.

L'invention concerne une fixation magnétique pour lunettes. Cette fixation comprend des cercles de préférence non magnétiques constitués d'une partie avant et d'une partie arrière. Des verres auxiliaires sont maintenus dans la partie avant, et la partie arrière contient une pluralité de micro-aimants. Chaque micro-aimant, de préférence du type des terres rares, est disposé sur le périmètre intérieur de la partie arrière et donc protégé contre les dommages physiques. Le périmètre intérieur desdits cercles présente la même forme, de préférence légèrement plus grande, que le périmètre extérieur des cercles des lunettes sur lesquels ils doivent être fixés, ce qui permet un contact maximum entre les micro-aimants et les cercles des lunettes, ces derniers étant fabriqués à partir d'un matériau magnétique ou contenant un tel matériau.
