ABSTRACT A magnetomechanical converter is described which com- prises an armature /5, 15, 22, 31, 32/,a unit containing magnets for generating a magnetic field of variable intensity and means for varying the intensity of the generated magnet- ic field, wherein the armature /5 15, 22, 31, 32/ and the generating unit are movable relatively to one another. An even number, at least two of magnets are situated for build- ing up magnetic circuits operating against one another and being closed out of the magnets. The armature /5, 15, 22, 31, 32/ is formed by a nonenergized soft magnetic material of higher than 1,2 magnetic permeability.
