A housing for a magnification loupe is provided having a body portion (110) for an eyepiece lens (332) and a nose portion (108) for an objective lens (312). The body portion (110) for the eyepiece lens includes outer circumferential threads (306) over which the objective nose portion (108) fits. The objective nose portion includes a pin slot (304) defining an arc across the body of the nose. The arc is configured such that a pin (302) may be secured through the holes in the nose portion to co-act with the threads of the body portion such that radial movement is prohibited.
