Title: "Main drive for rotary offset printing presses" ABSTRACT The application relates to a main drive for rotary printing presses with an in-line configuration of the printing units in which the offset cylinders 5 - 8 are in engagement via cylindrical gears 13 - 17 and each rubber-rubber printing unit 1 - 3 has two intermeshing main cylindrical gears 10,11 which mesh with the main cylindrical gears 11,10 of the neighbouring printing units 1,3 whereby each printing unit is driven by the main cylindrical gears 10,11 via a plate cylinder drive gear 9.
