A machine assembly adapted for use in a mechanical press includes a drive gear rotatably mounted on a crankshaft and a linkage mechanism adapted to transmit rotary motion from the drive gear to the crankshaft. The linkage mechanism includes a link arm pivotably supported at one end by the drive gear and pivotably supported at another end by a pivot support element that is disposed in torque-driving connection to the crankshaft. Torque developed within the drive gear is transferred by the link arm and pivot support element to the crankshaft. A fluid delivery system supplies lubricating fluid to the bearing support areas associated with the crankshaft, drive gear, and linkage mechanism using fluid transport channels formed within the drive gear, link arm, and stationary gear support panels.
