A method of maintaining routing tables at nodes of an overlay network, where a routing table of a given node contains, for each of a set of neighbouring successor and predecessor nodes, a mapping between an overlay network address of the node and a physical locator of the node. The method comprises, upon or immediately prior to departure of a node from the overlay network, sending a Leave request from the departing node (or one of the neighbouring nodes of the departing node aware of the departure) to each neighbouring node (or each other neighbouring node of the departing node), indicating the departure and containing one or more mappings for nodes not contained within the routing table of the recipient node. Each neighbouring node (or each other neighbouring node) receives the Leave request and uses said mapping(s) to update its routing table.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de tenue à jour de tables d'acheminement au niveau des nuds d'un réseau à superposition, procédé par lequel une table d'acheminement d'un nud donné contient, pour chacun des nuds d'un ensemble de nuds successeurs et prédécesseurs voisins, une correspondance entre une adresse de réseau à superposition du nud et un localisateur physique du nud. Selon ce procédé, dès ou juste avant qu'un nud sorte du réseau à superposition, le nud quittant (ou l'un des nuds voisins du nud quittant informé du départ) envoie à chaque nud voisin (ou à chaque autre nud voisin du nud quittant) une demande de sortie (Leave Request) indiquant le départ et contenant une ou plusieurs correspondances avec des nuds non contenus dans la table d'acheminement du nud récepteur. Chaque nud voisin (ou chacun des autres nuds voisins) reçoit la demande de sortie (Leave Request) et utilise ladite (lesdites) correspondance(s) pour mettre à jour sa table d'acheminement.
