Compositions and methods related to transgenic glyphosate/ALS inhibitor- tolerant maize plants are provided. Specifically, the present invention provides maize plants having a DP-098140-6 event which imparts tolerance to glyphosate and at least one ALS-inhibiting herbicide. The maize plant harboring the DP-098140-6 event at the recited chromosomal location comprises genomic/transgene junctions having at least the polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5 and/or 6. The characterization of the genomic insertion site of the DP-098140-6 event provides for an enhanced breeding efficiency and enables the use of molecular markers to track the trans gene insert in the breeding populations and progeny thereof. Various methods and compositions for the identification, detection, and use of the maize DP-098140-6 events are provided.
L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés associés à des maïs transgéniques tolérants du glyphosate et d'un inhibiteur d'ALS. La présente invention concerne notamment des maïs qui présentent un évènement DP-098140-6 qui confère une tolérance au glyphosate et à au moins un herbicide inhibant l'ALS. Le maïs présentant l'évènement DP-098140-6 à l'emplacement chromosomique indiqué comprend des jonctions génomiques/transgéniques comprenant au moins la séquence de polynucléotides de SEQ ID NO : 5 et/ou 6. La caractérisation du site d'insertion génomique de l'évènement DP-098140-6 permet une meilleure efficacité de reproduction et permet d'utiliser des marqueurs moléculaires pour suivre l'insert transgénique dans les populations reproductrices et leur progéniture. L'invention concerne également divers procédés et diverses compositions pour l'identification, la sélection et l'utilisation des évènements DP-098140-6 du maïs.
