A method of making a sintered article of powder metal having a carbon composition in the range of about 0.8 % to 2.0 % by weight, then shperoidizing the sintered article and then warm forming the sintered article at a temperature between 250 and 700 ~C for a time duration selected to form the article to a final shape.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un article fritté en poudre métallique dont la teneur en carbone se situe entre 0,8 et 2,0 % en poids. L'article fritté est ensuite soumis à un traitement de sphéroïdisation puis de thermoformage à une température comprise entre 250 et 700 ·C, pendant une durée sélectionnée pour donner sa forme finale à l'article.
