Abstract of the Disclosure A resinous material characterized by having a softening point in the range of about 45°C to about 100°C having a basic resin backbone of piperylene and methyl branched monoolefins modified with maleic anhydride and to a method for its preparation. The invention further relates to rubbery copolymers derived from aqueous emulsion polymerization of monomers in the presence of the resinous material of this invention.
