The invention is directed toward a sterile malleable bone composition for application to a bone defect site to promote new bone growth at the site comprising a mixture of demineralized osteogenic bone powder with a particle size ranging from about 250 to about 750 microns and surface demineralized cortical bone rods having a diameter ranging from 1.0mm to 5.00mm or larger bone chips. The surface demineralized cortical bone rods have diameter to length ratio ranging from 1:2 to 1:20. The demineralized bone powder range from about 25 to about 30% of the weight of the composition and the cortical bone rods range from 5% to about 10% of the weight of the composition with the carrier being selected from the high molecular weight hydrogel in aqueous solution having a high molecular weight over 700,000 Daltons and ranging from about 2.0% to about 5.0% by weight of the carrier solution.
Cette invention porte sur une composition d'os malléables stériles à appliquer sur une zone d'imperfection osseuse afin de favoriser la croissance d'un nouvel os sur la zone comprenant un mélange de poudre d'os ostéogénique déminéralisée où la dimension des particules varie approximativement de 250 à 750 microns et les tiges d'os cortical déminéralisées en surface ont un diamètre variant de 1,0 mm à 5.00 mm ou plus d'éclats d'os. Les tiges d'os cortical déminéralisées en surface ont un rapport de diamètre-longueur allant de 1:2 à 1:20. La gamme de poudre d'os déminéralisé représente approximativement de 25 % à 30 % du poids de la composition et les tiges des corticales varient de 5 % à environ 10 % du poids de la composition avec le support sélectionné à partir d'un hydrogel à poids moléculaire élevé, en solution aqueuse dont le poids moléculaire dépasse 700.000 Daltons et varie approximativement de 2,0 % à 5,0 % en poids de la solution porteuse.
