Thermoplastic poly-olefin polymer composition, polymer chip, fiber, woven or nonwoven fab-ric, film, closures, laminates can com-prise a polymer, a polymer and a non--volatile polymer-compatible car-boxylic acid. Thermoplastic poly-olefin polymer composition can also comprise a polymer, a cyclodextrin--modified polymer and a nonvolatile polymer-compatible carboxylic acid. The carboxylic acid moiety of the polymer composition can react with basic materials in the polymer envi-ronment and reduce release of the ba-sic material. The cyclodextrin can act to absorb or trap other contaminants or odors in the environment.

Cette invention concerne une composition de polymère à base d'une polyoléfine thermoplastique, une paillette de polymère, une étoffe tissée ou non tissée, un film, des fermetures, des stratifiés qui peuvent comprendre un polymère, un polymère et un acide carboxylique non volatil compatible avec le polymère. La composition de polymère à base d'une polyoléfine thermoplastique peut également comprendre un polymère, un polymère modifié par une cyclodextrine et un acide carboxylique non volatil compatible avec le polymère. La fraction acide carboxylique de la composition de polymère peut réagir avec des matériaux basiques dans l'environnement du polymère et réduire la libération dudit matériau basique.
