The immunogenic properties of the potexvirus MaI va mosaic virus (MaMV) and virus-like particles (VLPs) comprising the coat proteins of MaMV are disclosed VLPs prepared from MaMV coat proteins, methods of preparing the VLPs, MaMV coat protein polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding the coat protein are taught. Further, immunogenic compositions comprising MaMV or a VLP comprising the MaMV coat protein alone or in combination with one or more antigens and the use of said compositions to vaccinate and/or induce an immune response in an animal are also taught.
La présente invention concerne les propriétés immunogènes du potexvirus appelé virus de la mosaïque de la mauve (MaMV) et de particules de type viral (PTV) contenant la protéine d'enveloppe du MaMV. L'invention concerne également des compositions immunogènes contenant le MaMV ou une particule de type viral contenant la protéine d'enveloppe du MaMV et éventuellement un ou plusieurs antigènes, et l'utilisation de ces compositions pour induire une réponse immune chez un animal et/ou vacciner ledit animal. L'invention concerne également des PTV préparées à partir de la protéine d'enveloppe du MaMV ; des procédés de préparation de telles PTV ; des polypeptides de protéines d'enveloppe appropriés à la préparation des PTV et des polynucléotides codant lesdites PTV.
