There are disclosed methods and apparatus for simultaneously maintaining a plurality of tracks of remote targets, such as aircraft detected by a radar. Each track is maintained by a set of model processes to represent different possible dynamics of the tracked target, and the models are allowed to behave largely or entirely independently of each other. Whether a new sensor report should be used to update a model is decided separately for each model within each track.

Chaque piste est maintenue par un ensemble de processus modèles pour représenter différents comportements dynamiques possibles de la cible poursuivie, et les modèles peuvent se comporter de manière sensiblement ou entièrement indépendante les uns des autres.
