A mandrel assembly for manufacturing a tubular product includes a first plate (206), and a cantilever drive roller (202) extending from the first plate. At least one cantilever idler roller (204) also extends from the first plate, and means (218) is provided to rotate the drive roller whereby, in use, a strip may be engaged and advanced by the driver roller to the at least one idler roller and thereby wound about the rollers to form a tubular product.

Cet ensemble comprend une première plaque (206), et un cylindre d'entraînement en porte-à-faux (202) qui s'étend depuis la première plaque. Au moins un cylindre libre en porte-à-faux (204) s'étend également depuis la première plaque, et un moyen (218) permet de faire tourner le cylindre d'entraînement. En cours d'utilisation, une bande peut être mise en contact et avancée par ledit cylindre d'entraînement jusqu'au cylindre libre, puis enroulée autour desdits cylindres de façon à former un produit tubulaire.
