In a manual apparatus (10) for labelling an object (15), preferably a letter envelope, a longitudinally movable carrier strip (22) to which are glued detachable labels (20) is guided along a guiding plane (13'). When the carrier strip (22) is bent at a deflection edge (16), a self-adhesive label is detached therefrom and may then be moved approximately in the direction of the guiding plane (13') onto the object located behind said deflection edge (16). The label (20) is guided after being detached from the carrier strip (22) by a guiding element (25) located before the deflection edge (16) onto the surface (15') of the object (15) that lies below the guiding plane (13'). In a magazine (40) that contains several objects (15) the uppermost object co-operates with guiding element (25) during labelling so as to be moved away from the magazine when a label is glued.
Dans un appareil manuel (10) d'étiquetage d'un objet (15), de préférence une enveloppe postale, une bande de support (22) mobile dans le sens longitudinal, sur laquelle sont collées des étiquettes détachables (20), est guidée le long d'un plan de guidage (13'). Lorsque la bande de support (22) se plie autour d'un bord d'inflexion (16), l'étiquette auto-adhésive s'en détache et peut être transférée approximativement dans la direction du plan de guidage (13') sur l'objet situé derrière ce bord d'inflexion (16). L'étiquette (20) est guidée, lorsqu'elle se détache de la bande de support (22), par un élément de guidage (25) situé avant le bord d'inflexion (16), vers la surface (15') de l'objet (15) située au-dessous du plan de guidage (13'). Dans un magasin (40) qui peut contenir plusieurs objets (15), l'objet situé tout en haut coopère avec l'élément de guidage (25) pendant l'étiquetage de sorte qu'il est éjecté du magasin lorsque l'étiquette est collée sur lui.
