A manual transmission shifter (Fig. 1) having an ignition key interlock mechanism (69) which includes a bell crank (26) having a slot (27) engaged by a protrusion (28) on shift lever (22). A roller (107) engages the bell crank to prevent the protrusion (28) from moving from the end of the slot (27) in the reverse position. A cable (29) allows disengagement of the protrusion (28) and allows removal of the ignition key (31).

Un rouleau (107) vient s'appuyer contre le renvoi pour empêcher la saillie (28) de se déplacer de l'extrémité de la fente (27) dans la position inverse. Un câble (29) permet de dégager la saillie (28) et de retirer la clé de contact (31).
