The invention relates to a manually actuated scissors having a ratchet mechanism, wherein an additional locking member bypasses the ratchet mechanism and allows the scissors to be operated in a direct cutting mode, wherein a single closing step of the handle lever also causes complete closing of the cutting arrangement.
