A packaging system (100) includes a controller (102), an input device (104) in communication with the controller (102) that identifies one or more characteristics of the container, an illustration with indicia representing different degrees of fill for a container; and a manual input device (106) in communication with the controller (102) for inputting an estimated degree of fullness of the packing container having one or more articles to be packed correlated with the indicia in the illustration. The controller (102) provides an output signal indicating a quantity of dunnage to dispense to the container based on the input estimated degree of fullness and the one or more identified characteristics of the container. Then the controller can determine the amount of dunnage that needs to be provided to fill the remaining void in the container, and the controller can signal a dunnage dispenser (110) to dispense the determined amount of dunnage.
La présente invention concerne un système de conditionnement (100) comprenant un dispositif de commande (102), un dispositif dentrée (104) en communication avec le dispositif de commande (102) qui identifie une ou plusieurs caractéristiques du contenant, une illustration contenant des indices représentant différents degrés de remplissage pour un contenant ; et un dispositif dentrée manuelle (106) en communication avec le dispositif de commande (102) pour entrer un degré estimé de remplissage du contenant demballage doté dun ou de plusieurs articles à emballer en corrélation avec les indices dans lillustration. Le dispositif de commande (102) émet un signal de sortie indiquant une quantité déléments de matelassage à distribuer au contenant sur la base de lentrée du degré estimé de remplissage et de la ou des caractéristiques identifiées du contenant. Le dispositif de commande peut ensuite déterminer la quantité déléments de matelassage nécessaire pour remplir le vide restant dans le contenant et le dispositif de commande peut signaler une quantité déléments de matelassage au distributeur (110) afin de permettre la distribution de la quantité déterminée déléments de matelassage.
