In a manually operable discharging apparatus (1), the discharge nozzle (25) has an at least two-stage atomizer (100), in which the medium flow, following preatomization, is atomized by surge-like acceleration with a whirled, fine compressed air flow, e.g. according to the Laval effect, so that even finer droplets are obtained. For this purpose to the dis- charge nozzle (25), a separate compressed air channel portion (89) upst- ream of the end opening (80) supplies compressed air from a time immed- iately before the supply of medium to a time after its supply. The compressed air can be produced in simple manner by a compressed air pump (50) combined constructionally with the medium pump (2) and oper- able together therewith by means of a single handle (22) and which in the extension of medium pump (2) is provided immediately adjacent to its outer end and whose pump cylinder (52) is formed by the cap-like handle (22). The compressed air flow can also be passed to other points of the discharging apparatus (1), e.g. for cleaning the medium outlet channel (24) for discharge nozzle (25) and can be used for control func- tions for valves, particularly outlet valves.
