A multi-bit driver comprises a housing, and a plurality of bit assemblies operatively retained by the housing and movable between a retracted configuration and an in-use configuration. A ratcheting member has a manually operable input and an output that is connectable in driving relation to the housing. The input and the output are coupled in rotatable relation with respect to each other. A selectively operable ratcheting mechanism is operatively engaged between the input and the output to permit the input and the output to be rotationally fixed in torque transmitting relation in at least a first rotational direction.
