Intravenous solutions are manufactured and distributed in batches by gathering raw materials and components for manufacturing containers for intravenous solutions, and active ingredient but excluding solvent. In a central manufacturing plant (12), critical steps are performed such as dispensing predetermined amounts of the active ingredient into holders. The products of the central manufacturing plant (12) are packed into shipping containers (50) which are distributed to respective decentralized manufacturing plants (14) where the contents are unpacked, manufacture of containers is completed, solvent is obtained, intravenous solution is mixed, and the containers are filled, hermetically sealed and sterilized in an autoclave.
On fabrique, selon cette invention, des lots de solutions administrables par voie intraveineuse, ensuite distribués, en regroupant, d'une part, des matières premières ainsi que des constituants permettant la fabrication de récipients pour ces solutions et, d'autre part, un ingrédient actif à l'exclusion de solvant. Il est procédé, dans un poste central de production (12), à l'exécution de certaines étapes critiques comme celle consistant à répartir des quantités prédéterminées de l'ingrédient actif dans des contenants. Les produits élaborés dans le poste central de production (12) sont empaquetés dans des emballages d'expédition (50) qui sont répartis vers des postes décentralisés de production (14) où, respectivement, les paquets sont déballés, la fabrication des récipients achevée, tandis qu'il est produit du solvant, que la solution intraveineuse est mélangée et que les récipients sont remplis, scellés hermétiquement et stérilisés à l'autoclave.
