ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus and method for the manufacture of doors of the kind used for industrial purposes, for example in workshops, hangers, or warehouses, and comprising two layers of flexible material spaced apart and stiffened by horizontal cross members. The method includes intermittent vertical feeding of the flexible material with a cross member being connected between the two layers at each feed step, the connected members being then lifted with the completed part of the door one step at a time. The apparatus includes a beam capable of supporting a cross member while the material is being attached thereto and vertically movable to raise the cross member.
