ABSTRACT: Acid digester discharge liquor, from the manufacture of cyanuric acid, containing dissolved triazines and iron, is treated with ammonia until the pH is about 2.5 to 4 thereby precipitating most of the triazines while leaving most of the iron in solution. The triazines are separated and recycled back to the digester. The filtrate of ammo- nium salts is useful as a source of fertilizer nitrogen.
