A method for manufacturing wireless communication devices for use in tracking or identifying other items comprises a number of cutting techniques that allow the size of the antenna for the wireless communication device. Further, the chip for the wireless communication device is nested so as to be flush with the surface of the substrate of the wireless communication device. Rollers cut the tabs that form the antenna elements. In a first embodiment, a plurality of rollers (114, 116) are used, each on effecting a different cut whose position may be phased so as to shorten or lengthen the antenna element. In a second embodiment, the rollers are independently positionable to shorten or lengthen the antenna element.
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la fabrication de dispositifs de communication sans fil servant à contrôler ou à identifier d'autres articles, utilisant plusieurs techniques de découpage permettant de modifier les dimensions de l'antenne du dispositif de communication sans fil. Par ailleurs, la puce du dispositif de communication sans fil est logée de façon à être disposée au même niveau que la surface du substrat du dispositif de communication sans fil. Le procédé de l'invention utilise des rouleaux pour découper les bandes formant les éléments d'antenne. Dans un premier mode de réalisation, une pluralité de rouleaux (114, 116) sont utilisés. Chacun de ces rouleaux (114, 116) permet de réaliser une coupe à une position qui peut être adaptée de manière à obtenir un élément d'antenne plus court ou plus long. Dans un second mode de réalisation, les rouleaux peuvent être positionnés indépendamment de manière à obtenir un élément d'antenne plus court ou plus long.
