- 1 - Abstract A manufacturing method for an electrode provides ultra fine particles of active material formed in gas by an evaporation method. These particles are carried in a gas flow and are blown onto the surface of a substrate, so that an electrode comprising a thin film of active material is formed on this surface. Also described is a manufacturing method for an electrode-electrolyte composite in which ultra fine particles of active material formed in gas by an evaporation method are carried in the gas flow and blown onto the surface of a film comprising a solid electrolyte, so that an electrode comprising a thin film of active material is formed on such surface. The result is improved productivity, excellent adhesion of the electrode, and uniform thickness.
