ABSTRACT The present invention is directed to a method of manufacturing resin granules having a grain diameter of 1 - 100 µm and a narrow grain size distribution. The method comprises mixing the following three components: a polyvinyl alcohol, an acqueous solution containing at least one type of water soluble polymer and a granule forming component containing a polymerizing monomer, to obtain fine granules, heating the granules to agglomerate and unify the granules and then polymerize them during heating or after formation of the granules. The granules obtained by the method of the present invention as useful as electrostatic recording toners and as diagnostic agent carriers.
