ABSTRACT MANUFACTURING MOULDED BODIES CONTAINING CERAMIC FIBRES A method of manufacturing light moulded bodies includes forming a dispersion of ceramic fibres and flocculating it with a cationic flocculating agent. This flocculated dispersion is then mixed with a dispersion of refractory material with a particle size less than or equal to 0.09mm and an inorganic bonding agent which has been flocculated with an anionic flocculating agent, or alternatively, the said refractory materials and inorganic bonding agent are added to the flocculated dispersion and an anionic flocculating agent is added to the mixture. The mixture is permitted to settle out and the overlying liquid is removed. The mixture is then introduced into a mould and dewatered to form a moulded body which is then dried and optionally fired.
