ABSTRACT OF the DISCLOSURE A compact self-supporting structural element is described for use as a roof panel or other building part. The novel element is composed of concrete obtained by mixing and setting light aggregates, heavier aggregates, hydraulic binding material, a synthetic resin and a silane cross-linkable with the resin. The element is formed 50 as to have a varying density by positioning of the aggregates, with the hydraulic binding material, resin and silane being concentrated on one side of the element to provide a water and/or vapour-proof surface.
