Le préchauffage ou la fin du dégrossissage à chaud précédant le laminage à chaud final porte le produit entre 1050°C et 1160°C, le laminage à chaud final produit une réduction de section "S/s" ? 3 et est suivi d'un refroidisse- ment homogène à l'air ou avec un moyen utilisant de l'air. Les barres ou fils machine de l'invention sont utilises notam- ment pour la fabrication de pièces mécaniques résistant à la corrosion.
