- 11 - ABSTRACT A liquifying pump includes two pairs of oppositly wound flights mounted on a rotatable shaft that acts as an impeller of the centrifugal pump with upper and lower orifices. The impeller extends through these orifices to draw liquid-solid mixtures into the pump housing and for conveying the material out of the housing through a discharge orifice that communicates into a downstream conduit. The downstream conduit has a flow diverter for diverting the flow down to the ultimate discharge orifice of the conduit or back into the pool of solid-liquid materials so as to cause in this later condition circulation of the materials and hence to puree them. This assists in breaking down the solid components therein so that the material that is to be pumped may be pumped more efficiently. Such pump device is extremely convenient for pumping and conveying a liquid manure.
