MANURE SPREADER HAVING SLIDING FLOOR LOCATING TABS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A manure spreader has an elongated, generally rectangular box supported by an opposite pair of wheels and having a towing hitch at a forward end thereof. A thin, flat, rectangular sliding floor slides along the inside of the box and over a stationary floor within the box in response to the action of a first cylinder coupled to the forward end of a centering beam which extends forwardly from a central portion of a forward edge of the sliding floor. A first pair of tabs mounted on the stationary floor on opposite sides of the centering beam restrict lateral motion of the centering beam as the first cylinder drives the centering beam and the attached sliding floor over the stationary floor. A second pair of tabs mounted on opposite sides of the sliding floor adjacent a rear edge of the sliding floor engage outwardly extending angles mounted on the opposite side walls to prevent damaging contact of the opposite side edges of the sliding floor with the side walls of the box as the sliding floor slides along the length of the box. A second cylinder mounted on the centering beam is coupled to and slides a pushoff blade along the top of the sliding floor.
