ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention provides an improvement in a steering gear mechanism suitable for marine vessels provided with cylinder means for controlling, directly or indirectly, rudder means, with said cylinder means adapted to be associated with means for actuating said cylinder means. The improvement resides in the cylinder means being slidably mounted on guide means whereby the cylinder means move between first and second position on the guide means, thereby controlling rudder means.
