- i - Abstract of the Disclosure A torque-limiting device for preventing fracturing of a remotely controlled rotatable flexible shaft which rotates in response to rotation of a hand-operated steering wheel of a boat. The device employs a travelling nut which bears against appropriate stop members. The device is devoid of the usual keyways, springs, balls, gears, and the like em- polyed by typical limiting devices.
