The nature of this unique design is that when the top and bottom female toggle on the middle support are simultaneously put on the male toggle of the side truss. a collision fit is obtained. This is due to the angle which is above the female toggle on the top and under the female toggle on the bottom. There is a bolt which gets threaded through the female toggle, then continuing through the diagonal cross brace then threaded through the remaining female part of the toggle. The bolt then continues through into the male toggle in a pinned configuration due to a hole being drilled into the male toggle. Therefore, this allows the truss dock side sections to twist. The diagonal cross brace at each corner, as well as the mechanical connection at each mid support, limit the amount of twist. As example, if a wave were to lift one comer of the dock approximately 6", the dock can flex or twist then revert to the original static position without suffering the structural damage of a rigid welded frame if it were flexed.
