ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Manufacture of an elongated tubular marker buoy specifically intended for marking a waterway used for the floating of timber. The tubular buoy has a sequence of zones of successively contrasting colours along its length. The method comprises the steps of forming a number of tubular parts from solid plastic masses of various colours, the length and colours of the parts corresponding to the sequence of coloured zones, and forming the buoy by welding the tubular parts together end- to-end in accordance with the above sequence.
