It is intended to identify arthrorheumatism-sensitive genes by the use of a highly efficient, low cost microsatellite-using mapping method. Novel arthrorheumatism-sensitive genes, including TNXB, NOTCH4, RAB6A, MPRL48, UCP2 and UCP3 genes, in human genomic DNA sequence have been identified by implementing a case/control correlation analysis as to arthrorheumatism with the use of a, set at about 100 kb intervals, microsatellite polymorphic marker to thereby narrow down a candidate region and thereafter implementing a, using SNP as a marker, correlation analysis and linkage analysis.
