The present invention relates to a molecular marker genetically linked to, and capable of identifying, a genetic locus in the cucumber plant (Cucumis sativus L.) genome conferring a general resistance against tobamoviruses, and especially against two commercially important pathogenic tobamoviruses, i.e., cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) and cucumber fruit mottle mosaic virus (CFMMV). The present invention further relates to methods for providing a cucumber plant (Cucumis sativus L.), plants, plant parts and fruits with resistance against tobamoviruses, and especially against two commercially important pathogenic tobamoviruses, i.e., cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) and cucumber fruit mottle mosaic virus (CFMMV).
La présente invention porte sur un marqueur moléculaire génétiquement lié à, et capable d'identifier, un locus génétique dans le génome du plant du concombre (Cucumis sativus L.) conférant une résistance générale à l'encontre des tobamovirus, et notamment à l'encontre de deux tobamovirus pathogènes industriellement importants, à savoir le virus de la mosaïque marbrée verte du concombre (CGMMV) et le virus de la mosaïque marbrée du fruit du concombre (CFMMV). La présente invention porte en outre sur des procédés pour fournir un plant de concombre (Cucumis sativus L.), des plantes, des parties de plantes et des fruits avec une résistance à l'encontre des tobamovirus, et notamment à l'encontre de deux tobamovirus pathogènes industriellement importants, à savoir le virus de la mosaïque marbrée verte du concombre (CGMMV) et le virus de la mosaïque marbrée de fruit de concombre (CFMMV).
