ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus is disclosed for installing non-cylindrical sleeves onto substrates such as wires and cables, which sleeves are tightly and slidably arranged on fingers extending from a carrier belt. The apparatus has a base including a guideway for receiving the carrier belt and finger guide- ways for receiving the fingers of the carrier belt with the sleeves arranged thereon. Stripper means are provided for slidably forcing sleeves from the carrier belt fingers, the stripper means including tines positioned to slide along carrier belt fingers in the finger guideways. A die is positioned to receive the sleeves and bring them into substantially cylindrical configuration.
