A method for the diagnosis, prognosis or identification of a predisposition towards atherosclerosis and the susceptibility to the development of atherosclerotic plaques and/or vascular obstruction is described, the method comprising analysing a sample to determine the percentage frequency of multiple sub-populations of T-lymphocytes and comparing the data obtained against comparative and/or control data.

La présente invention concerne une méthode permettant de diagnostiquer, de pronostiquer ou d'identifier une prédisposition à athérosclérose et la susceptibilité de développer des plaques d'athérosclérose et/ou une obstruction vasculaire. La méthode décrite dans cette invention consiste à analyser un échantillon afin de déterminer la fréquence en pourcentage de plusieurs sous-population de lymphocytes T puis à comparer les données obtenues avec des données de contrôle et/ou comparatives.
