"Marking composition for hot metal articles" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE As a marking composition for hot metal articles, there is used a dry powder suitable to be applied by means of a carrier gas jet, e.g. pre- conditioned compressed air in dry powder form and consisting of a pigment, preferably TiO2, aluminium and an adhesion agent. The aluminium is present in order to act as a reducing agent for oxide on the hot metal surface. The adhesion agent may be a waxy chalk, SiO2, or bentonite, and should be effective at a temperature which is not lower than 200°C. - 1 -
