A masking material (1A) fitted to the masked portion of a member having a through hole to protect the through hole against a surface treatment by surely masking the hole in the surface treatment of the member having the through hole, comprising a fitting part (11A) fitted into the through hole formed therein, wherein the bottom end of the fitting part (11A) reaches the end of the through hole, and a flange (13A) covering the peripheral end edge of the through hole is formed around the bottom end of the fitting part (11A), whereby since the bottom end of the fitting part (11A) reaches the end of the through hole and the flange (13A) around the bottom end of the fitting part (11A) covers the peripheral end edge of the through hole when the masking material (1A) is fitted into the through hole, even if the mist of paint enters from the periphery of an article to a rear side when the paint is sprayed, the mist is cut off by the flange (13A) and does not adhere to the inner surface of the through hole.
Elément de masquage (1A) introduit dans la partie à masquer d'une pièce pourvue d'un trou traversant pour protéger ledit trou contre un traitement de surface, par masquage fiable du trou traversant lors du traitement de surface de la pièce pourvue de ce trou. Ledit élément comporte une partie d'introduction (11A) destinée à être introduite dans le trou traversant, la partie inférieure de la partie d'introduction (11A) atteignant l'extrémité du trou traversant, et une bride (13A) couvrant le bord périphérique terminal du trou traversant qui est formée autour de l'extrémité inférieure de la partie d'introduction (11A). Etant donné que la partie inférieure de la partie d'introduction atteint l'extrémité du trou traversant et que la bride (13A) située autour de l'extrémité inférieure de la partie d'introduction (11A) couvre le bord périphérique terminal du trou traversant lorsque l'élément de masquage (1A) est introduit dans le trou traversant, même si la brume de peinture parvient sur une face arrière de la pièce lorsque la peinture est projetée, ladite brume est stoppée par la bride (13A) et ne peut adhérer sur la surface interne du trou traversant.
