Abstract of the Disclosure A barrier composition for application to masonry to reduce rising moisture, which includes a diisocyanate dissolved in a mixture containing ethylglycol acetate and toluene. It is possible for the composition to soak into the masonry without the use of pressure, if if comprises 20 to 50% by weight of diisocyanate and 80 to 50% by weight of a dissolved mixture of 40 to 60% by weight of ethylglycol acetate or of methylisobutyl ketone and of 60 to 40% by weight of toluene.
