ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A massage-unit comprising a cylinder/piston unit arranged in a vertical guide-column with toothed racks fitted laterally thereto is provided. Engaging with the toothed racks are pinions carrying brushes, the mounting being in the form of housing-halves sliding up and down on the guide-column. The housing-halves are connected, by connecting rods and a cross-member, to piston-rod of the piston/cylinder unit. A control-valve provides automatic reversal when the brush-unit reaches its terminal positions.
